She never had piano lessons but could play almost every song she knew and play it well. She loved Southern Gospel music and many times throughout their lives would invite Southern Gospel singing groups into their home for fellowship and a meal as they were very hospitable people. She loved cooking and delighted in seeing people enjoy her cooking, especially her fried chicken and cornbread dressing and many desserts that were enjoyed by all. Marie was married to the late George Crawford for 67 years and attended Mt.
